Chatting boldly where no one has chatted boldly before-

There are some people who have discovered this feature in Gmail chat, but I've never seen anyone else use this, so I thought it was worthwhile to put up a quick entry.

In gmail, you can now bold selection by using *foo* and italics by using _foo_, how cool!! A coworker found this quite accidentally!

Also, does anyone know why there is now a bell emoticon? +/'\
